Plutifax - Hamas was asked to let the people vote and they won the elections they participated in. The U.S. - supported Israel - and The Palestinian Authority - in rejecting the voice of the Palestinian People. It is challenging to separate how Hamas may be from how it has been villainized. As a Jewish American it feel ironic to see the "Bad Guys" as being Israel - and "the enabler" being my own country. If we supported affirming life - rather than weaponry and death - both in the U.S. and the Middle East - we might allow justice to prevail - rather than fear, hatred and of course thousands (now) of needless deaths. Hamas - as the authors indicate - is a "human force" - and much more - far, far from perfect, but also not the Demon it is made out to be!
