I think it important to do one's best to be oneself - a whole person - a caring person - with a meaningful life. If - you want to - lose weight or get in better physical shape or have a significant other (or a different one) - look at Why you want what you want. There are no miracle cures - for each of us. Sometimes we are happier partnered, sometimes not - as we get older - it can be easier to do things for ourselves - if we aren't chained to "shoulds". You speak a lot of wonderful truths! Celebrating yourself - while not having delusions of grandeur - is great! We men - and you who are women - have our own challenges. Life isn't always fair, but we can do our best - with what we have. I recognize - some of my weaknesses and challenges - health issues, autism, while also honoring my strengths. I wasted a lot of 67 years of my life - in various ways- but am happy that as I approach age 70, I'm finally learning to live within myself - living for the present - and through that towards my future - getting "old" - ain't pretty - but it's the best that I/we can do! Good Luck! Thanks for sharing yourself so beautifully!
